We Toured Brinkley RV: Here’s What We Learned
Are you considering a Brinkley RV?
When we stepped inside the Brinkley RV manufacturing facility, we expected to be impressed by design, quality, and innovation — and it absolutely delivered.
But what we didn’t expect was how much we’d walk away talking about the heart behind the brand.
This company isn’t just building luxury RVs. They’re building a culture rooted in excellence, integrity, and people.
🏔️ The Meaning Behind the Name
Before we even talk about the rigs, let’s talk about the name. We were surprised to learn that “Brinkley” wasn’t pulled from a fancy branding agency — it actually came from a movie.
Yep. You've Got Mail.
One of the owners’ wives, Lisa, threw out the name Brinkley during a brainstorming session — the same name as the dog in the film. They were aiming for something that felt classic, luxury, and high-end — think Bentley vibes. Brinkley stuck.
And the logo?
The five mountain peaks represent something much deeper. “Faith Over Faith” — a phrase that has personal meaning to one of the founders, Micah, and his sister (they even have matching tattoos). That same heartbeat is now stitched into every RV they build.
🛠️ Built With Intention — Not Just Speed
As full-time RVers, we’ve toured a lot of rigs. We've also experienced our fair share of things breaking.
So we were especially intrigued by how Brinkley is rethinking the manufacturing process.
Here’s what stood out:
Quality Control at Every Step:
Most manufacturers have one line worker who is also in charge of quality. At Brinkley, there's a dedicated quality control lead whose only job is to ensure every unit meets their standards. That’s unheard of in the industry. The Buffer Zone:
They’ve built in a space on the assembly line where any RV that needs a little extra attention can pause without holding up production. That “buffer zone” ensures attention to detail never gets rushed.Stronger, Smarter Frames:
Brinkley frames are 50% thicker than many other manufacturers — meaning more durability and fewer structural issues down the road.Wood in the Roof (on purpose!):
They intentionally use wood in the roof to add a little “give” — because the rest of the coach is solid, the wood acts as a relief point to prevent cracking or frame damage over time.
❄️ A Better Environment for Workers = A Better RV
Here’s something no one’s talking about:
Most RV manufacturers build in non-climate-controlled buildings. That means employees are assembling your RVs in 100-degree heat in the summer and freezing temps in the winter.
Not only is that brutal for the team — it’s also not ideal for the product being built in those conditions.
Brinkley?
Every building is fully climate controlled. A/C in the summer. Heat in the winter.
This makes for happier, more focused workers who aren’t rushing to get through the day — and that translates to a better-built RV.
🧠 Listening to RVers Like Us
What really stood out during our tour was how often we heard this:
“We’re constantly listening to what RVers are asking for.”
Brinkley is not afraid to make changes — even big ones — based on customer feedback. Whether it’s changing layouts, improving function, or integrating new tech, they’re in it with the community.
💭 Final Thoughts
Brinkley RV isn’t just creating beautiful fifth wheels — they’re reimagining what the RV industry can be. A place where luxury meets intention, where customer service is personal, and where workers and customers alike are valued.
We left our tour not just impressed by the RVs… but inspired by the people behind them.
